PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Williams Scholar Program was created by the Troy & Sherri Williams Foundation for Education to provide select undergraduate students with an opportunity to accelerate their future career success through a combination of scholarship funds, hands-on experience, and mentoring that compliments their education. The goal is that when these students graduate, they will be better prepared to hit-the-ground-running and rapidly achieve career success. Then, we hope that they will "pay it forward" by helping the next generation of future business leaders achieve success.....and that the cycle will repeat and expand.

The Williams Scholar Program is currently targeting Freshman and 1st semester Sophomore college students who have goals of becoming future business leaders and/or entrepreneurs.  Specifically, the Program will provide:

  • Four Years of Full-Ride Scholarships (in the form of grants) up to $20,000 per year
  • Assistance with finding three Internships, starting the summer between the Freshman and Sophomore years
  • Mentoring by successful entrepreneurs and business leaders to explore potential career paths and business ideas
  • Guidance and assistance on taking the first step after graduation

Our goal is to find two new students to participate in the program each year. At maturity, there will be eight students in the program at a time, two in each grade.
